These surprising cherries are wonderful with cheese or rich meats, and simply amazing as a sauce with duck. Other tasty possibilities:
- Put on ice cream as is, or add a bit of sugar for a real ice cream treat. Imagine how it would play off of a fine vanilla ice cream.
- Drizzle the sauce over poached pears, place the cherries at the side.
- Add to a plain or chocolate whipped cream
- Use as a sauce with a Vanilla, Buttermilk, or Pannetonne pudding.
A healthy Australian alternative to imported tinned sour cherries.
